We at Excite for Life CBD shop just want to wish everybody a happy World Sleep Day. Many of our customers have problems with their sleep and we know how hard that can be, especially since sleep is vital for both our mental and physical wellbeing.
As it is World Sleep Day, we thought we’d offer 5 quick sleeping tips that can truly benefit everybody.
1) Turn Off Devices
Consider turning your devices off 1-2 hours before bed, or at least turn ‘night shift’ on to reduce blue light. It is blue light that can cause stress to your eyes and even keep you up on a night.
2) Stick To a Schedule
Build a consistent sleeping routine by going to sleep and waking up at the same time every single day. Your body likes routine and familiarity.
3) Consume Carefully at Night
Your sleep can be affected if you eat too much on a night or even if you keep yourself very hungry during the night. As well as food, be wary of alcohol, nicotine and caffeine consumption. All three can significantly impact your sleep.
4) Block Out Light
Light affects the sleep of many people, especially in the early hours of the morning. To block out light, you can purchase block-out blinds and curtains or invest in a cheap eye mask.
5) Diet and Exercise
Your sleep affects your health, just as your health affects your sleep. It is a bit of a chicken and an egg scenario. However, you can improve your health through diet and exercise, which can then improve the quality of your sleep.
Your diet can be improved with food supplements such as calcium, vitamins, fish oil and even CBD oil. We recommend full spectrum CBD oils (and other CBD products) because they’re stronger and produce the entourage effect.
